What we do

Living the Cross is a God-centric ministry that reaches people for Jesus where they are. We do not try to trick them into coming and hearing the Gospel; instead, we offer a relevant alternative to the worlds opinion and views through God-centric seminars, conferences, retreats, blogs, writings, and podcasts. Never forgetting our charge, "do the work of the evangelist."

Below you will find brief descriptions of what we do along with links to more information.

Seminar/Conference
Today, seminars and conferences are the way to gather a crowd. There are thousands of seminars held each year in the DFW metroplex alone. Our goal is not to hold a seminar or conference and try to recruit people to be part of Living the Cross; instead, our goal is to use seminars and conferences to bring people to Jesus and then transition them into the local church. We do this through two tracks.
Track 1: Hold a seminar/conference and share the results with local churches. The local churches then do the follow-up.
Track 2: Hold a seminar for a local church, either at the church or an outside location, then the church receives the results and does the follow-up.

We hold seminars/conferences in many different locations, from apartments, churches, restaurant, motels, etc. Any place we can book a location and send out information for time and location we hold a seminar/conference. If you would like us to hold a free seminar at you location please contact us, we would love to schedule one with you.

Bringing Your Church to the Internet
Our basic purpose is to meet people where they are and bring them to Jesus. We then attempt to unite these people with a local church. However, as our burden is great for lost souls and discipleship, people want more information before visiting a church. This is creating a great problem for many churches.

One part of our ministry is to bring churches to the Internet. With 73% of all adults using the Internet and 35% using the Internet to find religious/spiritual information* we as the Church cannot keep our heads in the sand any longer. The Internet is a great tool for a church to use. It can provide updated information, daily devotions, information about the church, what to expect when a family comes to the church, and much much more!
We provide this information, along with a videocast of how to build a website at www.InTheHeavenlies.com. An easier way for ministries and churches to receive this information is to invite Living the Cross to come, at no cost, and host a free seminar on “Bringing Your Church to the Internet.”

Outreach & Inreach Evangelism
We believe in evangelism! Our creed is: "do the work of the evangelist." Therefore, we help churches and ministries with the work of the evangelist. We do this through Outreach Evangelism and Inreach Evangelism.

  Outreach Evangelism
Outreach Evangelism is simply this: evangelism outside the church to bring people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and then transition them into the local body. There are not many ministries that actually do outreach evangelism for a local church. We offer our services to help any Christ-centric church do the work of outreach evangelism. Follow our link to see how we can help.

  Inreach Evangelism
If there is outreach then there has to be inreach. The Body of Christ today continually needs refreshing and renewal. Pastors are the shepherds of their flock, and we come to aid the pastor without criticizing the flock. Our inreach evangelism is through encouragement and what we call "Hobby Evangelism."

Retreats
Living the Cross tries to provide four marriage retreats a year. They are held over a Friday afternoon/evening through Saturday evening. These retreats are designed to aid couples to renew and strengthen their relationships together. They are sponsored by Living the Cross, and are 100% free to the couples. We are only able to host five couples at a time and each couple must be recommenced by a pastor/minister. Our goal is to present a God-centric view of marriage and help restore a loving and spiritual marriage.

Blogging the Cross
Blogging, along with Podcasting has become a “world wide” phenomena. Living the Cross uses blogging to make commentary, clarify positions, or post something we found interesting. Blogging is another tool that we use to reach people for Jesus.

Podcasting the Cross
Podcasting has become a “world wide” sensation. It is a means to dialogue and also to convey a point.
